This Privacy Policy explains, in simple words, what information the
NasbUlSaddat app collects, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.
By using the app, you agree to this policy.
1. What Data We Collect
To make the app work, we collect only the information we need:
Account info — your email address and password
(your password is stored securely and we never see it in plain
text).
Profile info — your name, phone number, city,
occupation, profile photo, and any "about" text you choose to add.
Identity verification — photos of the front and
back of your National ID card (CNIC), used only to confirm you are a
real person. These are kept in a private, secure area, are never
shown publicly, and are never visible to other users. See section 5
for full details.
Media uploads — the images and videos you choose to
upload for posts, stories, chats, and your profile, plus any
documents you attach in chat.
Content you create — posts, comments, reactions,
stories, connections, and messages.
Device info — a push-notification token and basic
device type, so we can send you notifications.
We do not use any analytics or advertising tools, and
we do not collect your advertising ID or track your activity.
What other members can see: your public profile —
name, profile photo, city, occupation, and "about" — plus anything you
choose to share (posts, stories, comments). Your
email, phone number and National ID are private and
are never shown to other members.
2. Why We Collect It
Data
Why we use it
Email & password
To create your account and let you log in securely.
Profile & National ID
To set up your profile and confirm you are a real person.
Media (images/videos)
To let you share photos and videos in posts, stories, and chats.
Content & connections
To show your posts and stories and power the social features.
Device token
To send you push notifications (likes, comments, messages, etc.).
3. Permissions We Use
The app only asks for a permission at the moment you use a feature
that needs it. You can say no, and the rest of the app still works.
Camera — so you can take a photo or video, and scan
your National ID card during sign-up.
Photos & videos (gallery) — when you choose to
upload an image or video, the app opens your device's built-in
system photo picker. This grants access only to the specific items
you select and does not require any photos or
storage permission.
Notifications — so we can alert you about new
messages, comments, reactions, and connection requests.
Internet — so the app can connect to our servers to
load and save your content.
We do not access your camera, gallery, or location in the background.
Access happens only when you tap to use a feature.
4. Where Your Data Is Stored
Your data is stored securely with trusted service providers:
Supabase — stores your account, profile, posts,
messages, and uploaded media (in secure cloud storage).
Firebase (Google) — used only to deliver push
notifications to your device.
Data is sent over secure, encrypted connections. Your National ID
images are kept in a private storage area that other users cannot
access.
5. National ID (CNIC) Verification
During sign-up you are asked to scan the front and back of your
National ID card (CNIC) so we can confirm you are a real person and
keep the community trusted and safe. Here is exactly how we handle it:
Your CNIC images are uploaded over a secure, encrypted connection to
a private storage area that is separate from your
public profile and posts.
They are never shown publicly and
never visible to other users anywhere in the app.
Only authorised members of our admin team can view them, and only
for identity verification.
We use them only for identity verification — never for advertising
or selling. We do not share them with any third parties, except our
secure cloud storage provider (Supabase), which stores them on our
behalf and under our instructions so the app can function.
They are permanently deleted when your account is deleted (see
section 9).
6. Reporting & Blocking (Keeping You Safe)
NasbUlSaddat lets people share posts, stories, comments, and messages,
so we give you built-in tools to stay in control of what you see:
Report — you can report a post, a comment, a story,
a message, or a user if you see something abusive or against our
rules. Reports are sent to our admin team for review, and we may
remove content or take action on accounts that break the rules.
Block — you can block any user. Once blocked, they
can no longer message you, and you stop seeing each other's posts,
stories, and comments. You can manage and undo blocks any time from
the Blocked accounts screen.
To submit a report we store who reported, what was reported, and the
reason, so our team can review it. We use this only for safety and
moderation.
7. Data Safety
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
We do not share your data with advertisers.
We do not use advertising or third-party tracking
SDKs, and we do not collect your advertising ID.
We only use your data to run and improve the app's features.
We use access controls so users can only see data they are allowed
to see.
8. Your Rights
You are in control of your information. You can:
Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct or update your profile details at any time inside the app.
Request that we delete your data (see section 9).
9. How to Delete Your Account
You can ask us to delete your account in either of two ways:
In the app — open your profile menu and tap
Delete account. This sends a deletion request to our admin
team. You can keep using the app while it is being reviewed.
By email — send an email to
support.nasbulsaddat@gmail.com
from the email address linked to your account, with the subject
"Delete My Account".
Our admin team reviews every request, usually
within 30 days. Once a request is approved, we
permanently delete your account and all related
personal data — including your profile, posts, comments, reactions,
stories, messages, connections, uploaded photos and videos, and your
National ID (CNIC) images. This cannot be undone.
10. Children's Privacy
This app is intended only for adults aged 18 and over, and account
creation requires a valid National ID. We do not knowingly collect data
from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us personal data,
please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we
will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Please
check back now and then to stay informed. Continuing to use the app
means you accept the updated policy.
